Services in New York

Through my job (and how I choose to do it), I get exposed to information on services available in New York. These are mostly aimed at folks with developmental disabilities (which, for administrative purposes, include autism), but also sometimes range into intellectual disabilities, mental health, substance abuse, LGBTQ+ (I have spent time at the Pride Center and In Our Own Voices), HIV/AIDS, and senior services.

I'm also a social nexus (which, as I've mentioned before, is a pretty funny superpower for an introvert). Anyone should feel free to ask, "Hey, Joe, whom should I talk to about issue X?" And I can hopefully at least say, "Well, I don't know much about that, but Jill down at Center for Example Studies can help you; here's her contact info." Whether I know the answer, or know someone who knows the answer, or not, it can't hurt to ask.
