Not the same person. However, if the incident that you refer to is the one (which I did not follow fully, as I don't keep up well on Facebook) in which "mansplaining" and "tone argument" came up in the same breath... That was my abusive ex-friend. He's already out of my life.
The guy who sent me that link? Lots of fun, mostly a decent person, treats people well enough... But he's attached to the thought that he's perfectly rational even when he's not, which makes debate rather difficult. (That statement is also true of my ex-friend. The difference is that this current friend, like most sane people, doesn't become enraged when people tell him that he's wrong.)
