Here for a moment...

I'll remove this when it's old news. Here's the deal. I am responding to a general call to raise awareness of the proposed bill that will legalize torture. That's right. With no trial (as if torture alone weren't enough of a reason to oppose the bill), and with no chance for the courts (or anybody else) to intervene.

The call is simple: Link to the article about it and write about it in your blog. If it hits enough blogs, it hits the media. That's something that even a lazy armchair philosopher can do.

(No "mood" icon for once, because I try not to let politics get to me. To state an emotional reaction would make it more real. And I am not going to give those bastards the pleasure of making me miserable.)

Edit: It's law now, so I guess it won't be old news for quite a while. The tortures have in fact begun.
