My green belt sword form video. It's finally public! ( Why did it take a year? )

Coriolanus was brilliant. Great acting, direction, and sound design. I particularly appreciated the silent and comic "straight man" expressions by minor characters when the lead characters behaved unexpectedly. This was my first time seeing a National Theatre Live production, and I love the concept. It's way cheaper than seeing a live show, and the cameras get the best seats in the house (so we do too). (Thanks to cluegirl for gathering us to see it!)

We and qhudspeth spent a couple of days helping icarusfallen8 move equipment and supplies. So I called in dead yesterday morning, and went to tonight's sword class instead. The evening class was much more populated (with people more advanced than I), and taught by the academy's master. So it was kicking my ass, and I had difficulty keeping up: The best kind of class. (The morning classes are small, aimed at my skill level, and (of course) not paced for a tachymath*. So I sometimes have to actively ask them to teach me new things.)

* Quick learner. As far as I know, qhudspeth invented the word, and I can't think of another that's equally specific. So unless someone can supply me with one, I am officially adding "tachymath" to the English language. Use it often around CTYers, and it'll catch on.

I must take some time, as soon as the rain clears up, to enjoy the sight of the swollen Mohawk River. (Local folks are welcome to join me.)
